Vice President, IT, International & Europe
Matt is vice president of commercial IT at AstraZeneca, where he is responsible for creating and executing the IT vision, strategy, and operational plan for the global commercial business and the regional marketing companies. His priorities include transforming selling capabilities to address specialty care portfolios, extending reach and impact of digital channels, improving access to information to gain unique insights and a competitive advantage, simplifying the IT application landscape, and driving commercial innovation. Over the last three years, Matt has led the transformation of the commercial IT team to deliver twice the value for half the cost by internalizing technical skills, adopting global and mobile commercial platforms, eliminating legacy applications, and adopting cloud applications.
Matt has more than 25 years life science experience in IT across commercial functions, including customer relationship management, reporting and analytics, and marketing. Matt joined AstraZeneca in 1994. He led the North American team in building commercial capabilities and he established the architecture function.
Prior to AstraZeneca, Matt worked at Accenture in the advanced systems group, where he consulted across several industries including banking, insurance, healthcare, and pharmaceutical. Michael is the senior director of global commercial IT at AstraZeneca, where he is responsible for the solution delivery center for AstraZeneca’s global commercial organization, application delivery, and the center of excellence for Salesforce.com, Veeva, and Adobe platforms.
Michael has more than 30 years of experience delivering customer facing systems and services in the pharmaceutical, travel, transportation, gaming and retail industries. In these roles he led a global infrastructure organization, an enterprise application delivery organization, and deployed the industry’s first CRM solutions.
Prior to AstraZeneca, Michael worked at Medimmune, where he was the senior director of information systems infrastructure, responsible for all information system data centers, global engineering, and support of enterprise and end-user services.

Gordian is the vice president of the IT business partnering organization for Bayer, where he represents the complete scope of IT towards Pharma strategic marketing organization. Gordian has 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and consumer health industry across IT, marketing, sales, and logistics.
Prior to his current role, Gordian held various positions at Bayer, such as the CRM & CLM lead for the healthcare business in Japan and the Head of Global eMarketing for pharma. Earlier in his career Gordian was the Head of Sales, IT and Logistics at Schering Germany where he successfully managed the implementation of a cross-functional customer interaction and service center.

Scott is the vice president, global therapeutic operations IT at Biogen, where he is responsible for global IT strategy and execution across sales, marketing, and patient services, as well as IT program management and delivery for the following solutions: CRM, CMS, mobile, and web.

Claude is the head of Biogen’s international IT organization for Europe, APAC, and LATAM where he is responsible for ensuring IT activities, budgets, and portfolios are strategically and operationally aligned with global business and IT needs.
Claude has more than 20 years IT experience in the pharmaceutical industry, specializing in commercial operations, supply chain planning optimization, and implementing global enterprise management solutions.
Prior to Biogen, Claude held various vice president positions at Roche Pharma, where he was the regional chief information officer for CEMAI (Middle east, central Asia, India subcontinent and Africa) from 2006 to 2013 and global head of SAP and Ariba from 2002 to 2006.
IT Business Process Partner, Sales Excellence
Maryka is the IT business process partner, sales excellence, at GSK, where she is responsible for strategy definition for sales excellence solutions in consumer healthcare, project delivery, and ongoing support of all global sales solutions.
Maryka has more than 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, joining GSK in 2002 as a business analyst for the IT sales and marketing team in the UK. Since then she successfully delivered ERP, business intelligence, financial planning, and Salesforce automation solutions to GSK consumer healthcare, managed trade promotion and call centers, and supported global system integration projects.
Prior to joining GSK, Maryka worked as business intelligence consultant for a number of companies in Europe and as a system owner for the Italian Stock Exchange.
Vice President and Information Officer, Pharma Business Units
Jennifer is the vice president and information officer for the Lilly pharma business units, where she is responsible for providing strategic partnership to Lilly bio-medicines, Lilly international, diabetes, and oncology business units as well as the centralized marketing organization and global medical affairs to ensure delivery of business value through technology solutions.
Jennifer joined Lilly in 2000 from Ernst & Young and has held various leadership positions in global services IT, manufacturing IT and research and development IT organizations. In her previous assignment in manufacturing IT, she was responsible for developing and executing the IT strategy for the dry product, parenteral, device, and distribution sites. In this role, she also had responsibilities for the data integration and document management teams as well as the manufacturing execution system implementations. Prior to that, her responsibilities included the development and launch of IT solutions for integrative informatics, combined specimen banking, drug metabolizing enzymes and transporters (DMET) and gene assay management.
Jennifer has also served in various application engineer and leadership roles across multiple releases of Lilly’s global SAP implementation. Jennifer received a bachelor of science degree in business from Indiana University and a master’s degree in business administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
IT Senior Director, Oncology Business Unit
Phil is the IT senior director for Lilly’s global oncology business unit. He is also accountable for enabling Lilly’s business strategy through technical capabilities across all business units and geographies. These capabilities support Lilly’s sales, marketing, medical affairs, commercial master data, commercial analytics and real world evidence organizations.
Phil joined Lilly in 1999 and has held various leadership positions in Lilly’s global services IT and enterprise IT organizations. In global services IT, Phil led many SAP ERP implementations in various countries that reengineered business processes for customer service, logistics, distribution, serialization, manufacturing finance and intercompany processing. In enterprise IT, Phil created the global shared services organization that delivered business intelligence and advanced analytics technologies and services for the company.

Wolfgang is a director and global head of commercial IT at Merck KGaA. He is responsible for driving the global CRM program, digital channel projects, platform adoption and consulting.

Frank is the lead architect for commercial technology platforms at Merck & Co., Inc., covering digital marketing, customer engagement, and customer information management. Frank leads the creation and realization of technology strategy for Merck & Co., Inc.ʼs global commercial business, focusing on driving value through flexible, elastic, reliable, and effective solutions.
Frank has over 20 years life science experience spanning sales operations, customer experience management, digital marketing, mobility and analytics. Joining Merck & Co., Inc. in 1999, Frank focused on supporting sales operations and mobility in the US market. His role has grown over time to address systems across multiple disciplines within the commercial space as well as across the globe. An early advocate of what is now called cloud computing, Frank has been instrumental in modernizing Merck & Co., Inc.ʼs existing capabilities as well as driving new innovation.
Prior to joining Merck & Co., Inc., Frank held various IT positions at various companies focused on life sciences, financial accounting, and hospitality.
Vice President, Global Commercial Solutions
Dennis is the vice president of global commercial solutions organization for Pfizer and is responsible for strategy and execution across three centers of excellence: mobile and emerging technologies, digital marketing, and sales enablement.
Dennis and his teams have received a number of recent awards, including a 2017 Digital Edge 50 award, InformationWeek’s Elite 100, a CIO 100 award for innovation, and consistent accolades for execution in the areas of digital, mobile, and embracing SaaS and cloud solutions at an enterprise level resulting in annual savings to Pfizer.
In the last year, Dennis’s organization created more than 100 mHealth apps for patients and HCPs, more than 600 external facing digital assets globally, executed more than 7,000 campaign changes across these properties, and made major advancements in leveraging cognitive computing to improve field force effectiveness and impact.
In addition to his work at Pfizer, Dennis is also on the board of the Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technologies (PACT).
Global Sales and Commercial Operations Solutions Lead
Hank is the global sales and commercial operations solutions lead at Pfizer, where he is responsible for managing the technology investments to empower Pfizer’s global sales organization. His top priorities include maintaining the strategic roadmap, execution of the programs to realize the business value outlined in the plan, and providing support operations to the global portfolio of assets.
Hank has led several complex global programs to drive process harmonization and technology standardization across the commercial organization at Pfizer. These programs included replacing a disparate set of antiquated sales force automation tools with a cloud based global solution which is now centrally managed adding business value through continuous innovation and a cost effective support model. He also led a team to implement one of the largest global promotional material review and approval solutions in the industry.
Prior to his current role Hank was the marketing and sales solutions center lead for the Pfizer diversified business units. In this role he was responsible for leading technology strategy, delivery, and operations across commercial operations. He played a key role in defining the digital marketing strategy for Pfizer which included implementing an open source framework to increase agility and drive efficiency.
Earlier in his career Hank was a member the Pfizer consumer healthcare international leadership team where he was responsible for partnering with country general managers to identify and deliver key process and technology changes required to support rapid international growth. He developed a strong understanding of the global commercial business and was able to successfully drive process harmonization changes across global markets which increased business value through the use of technology.
Hank earned bachelor of science in accounting, MBA in finance, MS in computer science, and is a licensed CPA in the state of New Jersey. He is a member of both the New Jersey Society of Information Management and the American Institute of CPAs.

Manfred is vice president of IT at Takeda, where he is responsible for all global commercial, sales, finance and procurement systems. Manfred is also the responsible CIO for the following areas: Russia / CIS, Europe, NEMEA (Near East, Middle East and Africa) and LATAM (Latin America).
Manfred has more than 28 years of experience in IT, 25 of these within the pharmaceutical industry. One of Manfred’s first projects was to equip the sales representatives with their first CRM system and laptop. Since the successful delivery of this project, Manfred has developed a passion for delivering innovative IT solutions to the commercial user community.
During his career Manfred has led various global IS/IT programs in the mergers and acquisitions (M&A) arena and was responsible for the implementation of a shared service centre for IT with full and transparent cost allocation.
Senior Director and Global Head of Commercial and Marketing Systems
Peter is a senior director and global head of commercial and marketing systems at Takeda. He is responsible for driving CRM and customer engagement projects, application delivery, and business advisory services for all six business units at Takeda.
His main focus area is to enable the commercial transformation of Takeda by providing best-in-class building blocks supporting the customer engagement strategy in an efficient and scalable way and facilitating internal collaboration and digital innovation leveraging new channels and insights. Henry Levy has nearly 25 years of experience transforming the way the biopharmaceutical industry improves patient health. Previously, he was chief commercial officer at PPD, one of the world’s largest CROs, and head of Accenture’s global life sciences R&D practice.
